I noticed that, every time I start the browser, WebKit generates a warning message: (WebKitWebProcess:2): GStreamer-WARNING **: External plugin loader failed. This most likely means that the plugin loader helper binary was not found or could not be run. You might need to set the GST_PLUGIN_SCANNER environment variable if your setup is unusual. This should normally not be required though. I have no idea why it happens and how I can fix it. Epiphany 45.1 WebKitGTK 2.42.3 GStreamer 1.22.8

That's a GStreamer bug I'm afraid, filed 5 months ago. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/issues/2877 Nothing we can do here, closing.
